Snow Day 2010

Well it snowed in Memphis last night. There is about an inch of snow and we are suppose to get more. I got Kyle dressed to go out. A long sleeved undershirt, long sleeved shirt, jeans, swoosh pants ( I can't think of the name of them, but they are so the snow doesn't get to his jeans) a hat and a hooded jacket with the hood up over the hat. He really had fun outside in the snow. He is old enough now that he can really enjoy playing in it. We weren't out long, but I did get a few pictures of him playing. About 15 minutes into playing outside, Kyle was done with the cold and snow, he was ready to come in, his cheeks were red and his little hands were frozen. It was a good time while it lasted.

Kyle's Tonka Truck

Kyle's Uncle Cliff got him this Tonka Truck for Christmas and he loves it. He has put a lot of things in this truck to haul to somewhere. The most fun he has had with the truck is when Uncle Cliff put him in it and pushed all over the house. Kyle laughed so hard and smiled so big, he didn't want to stop. We put him in it yesterday and pushed him around in it for a little bit. He has really enjoyed the truck.

Christmas 2009

For Christmas this year Ross and I stayed in town and had family up for Christmas. Kyle's Papa and Granny and Uncle Cliff were here for Christmas. Kyle could not have enjoyed himself more. 3 people that love him and want to spoil him. Yes he got spoiled. He made out like a bandit with presents not only from Santa, but the rest of the family too. The presents that we got him could not go under the tree, because he would open them up and then want to play with them. Kyle got a Handy Manny work bench and stuffed dog from Santa, toy cars and clothes from mommy and daddy, Tonka truck that is big enough for him to sit in from his Uncle Cliff, a cement mixer toy from his Papa and Granny, a RC dump truck and Glove and balls from his Aunt Sara,Uncle Jason and little Harrison. There are more I just can't remember all of them. Kyle loved listening to Daddy read The Night Before Christmas. He sat in Daddy lap and looked at the book. It was also fun to see his Papa and Granny play on the new Wii. They really liked to play tennis. They were getting really good too. Kyle had a great Christmas surrounded by some of the people that he really loves. This whole holiday season, Thanksgiving - Christmas was so special to him. He even got to meet some family that he had never met and loved them too.

Ross, Kristy, and Kyle hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! We sure did.

Santa 2009

This year was fun at Christmas with Kyle. He understood some things about Christmas, like Santa. He still was not scared of Santa. I put him in Santa's lap and he just sat there and smiled, he smiled big and looked a few times at him but never one cried or squirmed to get down. He also knows what Santa says. If you ask him "What does Santa say", he will mouth Ho Ho, but if he sees a picture of Santa he will say Ho Ho. He only says Ho Ho twice, but it's a start.

Julie's Visit

In between Kyle's Mor Far and Mor Mor visiting for Thanksgiving and His Papa and Granny visiting, Kyle's Aunt Julie flew up for a visit. Aunt Julie and Kyle had a great time. I was even able to get some pictures of them together. We also went to the zoo, which is something that Julie has wanted to do since we moved up here 4 years ago. Well we went on the coldest day of the year. It was about 30 degrees and in in hurry to get warmer. We only saw a couple of animals. They were smart enough to stay inside on that day. Aunt Julie also went with us to the Pink Palace's Enchanted Forrest, we went last year too. Enchanted Forrest is like a winter, It's a small world after all ride at Disney, but without the annoying song and Santa is there. On the last full ay Aunt Julie was here I wanted to to a park and get a few more pictures, as we were heading down Canada Rd I noticed a sign for a park that is only a few minutes from our house. We pulled in and It was a great park. Yet again it was about 39 degrees and windy. We didn't stay long but I got some good pictures of Aunt Julie and Kyle and of me and Kyle.

Outside

We, me and Kyle are outside playing. This wouldn't be a problem if we still lived in Florida, but as you may or may not know we live in Memphis, TN. And it's the end of December. The temp is between 35 and 38 degrees! Yeah that's a little cold, but Kyle wants to stay out and play. Currently he is playing with a chunk of ice from the cat's water bowl, he was playing in the leaves before that. He doesn't care what it is like outside, rain, snow, sunny, cold or hot. He is an outside kid!

Thanksgiving 2009

Kyle had a great time at Thanksgiving. His Mor Far and Mor Mor (grandpa and grandma) came up from Florida and spent the week of Thanksgiving with him. My mom ( Mor Mor) flew up the week before Thanksgiving. It was great to see her and let him spend time with her, they played, and danced. He has always loved spending time with his grandparents. Now that he is older he understands and knows who some people are, people that he doesn't see all the time. It stopped raining and wasn't too cold for us to go to the park and I got some pictures of us playing. Kyle Loves Thanksgiving food, espesally especially, the mashed potatoes. It was a very happy Thanksgiving.
