Halloween 2010

In the Jordan house we had Woody over for Halloween. Yep Kyle was Woody from Toy Story. He has been on the Woody and Buzz kick for some time now. He had a great time going trick or treating. We had some friends over for dinner (a couple who have a son around Kyle's age and they are best friends.) After we ate dinner the moms put on the kids costumes and the dads headed out with Woody, Rex, and the cutest little witch (Oliver the T-Rex's sister.) I stayed at home with Jenelle Oliver and Reagan's mom to hang out candy to the other trick or treaters. About an hour later our small group was seen walking home in the dark. They didn't get a lot of candy, but that's fine. We don't need a huge sugar high. Kyle was so excited to be able to go walk around and meet people!

Baby Bean

Ross and I didn't like calling the new baby, "It or "baby". So we have named the bun in the oven "Bean". So when you read or hear me talk about bean you will know what I'm talking about!
I had my second OB appointment today. Everything went great! All the blood work came back normal and looking good. My blood pressure is fine. Because it's too early to hear Bean's heartbeat, I was given a ultrasound. Bean's is doing great, the heartbeat is 153 bpm and measures 3.32 cm from head to bum. Bean is also looking like a baby not a blob, which is nice to see. I'm 10 weeks 3 days pregnant, finally in double digits!

I know every pregnancy is different, but this one has been very different from Kyle. With Kyle I was sick the whole 1st trimester, to the point that I had to take medicine to keep any food down. My heartburn was so bad that it would wake me up at night. With Bean I have had very little heartburn and nausea. The only way I know I'm pregnant is that I'm TIRED ALL THE TIME! I am ready for bed at 6 pm and could sleep till 10 am and get a nap. We are going to find out the sex and then start really looking at names.

Kyle has been really good with the whole new baby thing. He knows where Bean is , he will lift up my shirt and point to my stomach! It's not bad at home, but in the grocery store it's not the greatest!

The big circle on the left is Bean's head and the big circle on the right is Bean's body. You can even see the hands and feet!

New Addition!

After 12 months of trying to get pregnant with a second baby, We are so excited to announce that Kyle will be a big brother in May! Our "plan" was to have a May baby for Ross ( Kyle was born in December, My birth month). It just wasn't the year we planned, but it all turned out just fine! We are over the moon that we are having another baby and can't wait to share the experience with Kyle.

Today we saw the heartbeat!

River Boat Ride

While we were in Florida in March, Kyle's Papa, Granny, Ross, Kyle and I went to see Crystal River. We drove down and had some lunch and next door to the restaurant they had a river boat tour. After lunch we went over to see when the next tour was and we were in luck it was when we were ready. The tour was great, we saw pelicans, fish and manatees. Even being from Florida you don't see manatees very often, so seeing them up close was very exciting. The adults had a great time relaxing on the ride and despite Kyle's cranky attitude from needing a nap he had a good time too. I think we will do it again..

Uncle Jason, Aunt Sara and little Harrison

In the beginning of May. Kyle's aunt, uncle and cousin came up to visit while they were on their way to Oklahoma. It was the first time they had been here since we (Ross and I ) moved. It was so great having them here even if it was only for a few days. Kyle loved hanging out with Sara and Jason. Uncle Jason swung he around the front yard, played in the bubbles, and went on walks They even got him his own camera, which he still uses now. Kyle was so sweet with Harrison too. He gave his cousin lots of hugs and kisses. He really enjoyed having a baby around the house. They moved to the sooner state after Jason got out of the navy. Jason is from Oklahoma, which is great for us, because now they are only 6 hours away not 12-13. We are hoping to see them a lot more either here in Tennessee or Oklahoma.

Kyle's Big Boy Bed

Ross and I thought that it was time for Kyle to have a big boy bed. Seeing as how he is now over 2 years old. we thought it would be a good time to get into a new bed. It's not really new, his crib that his Papa ( Ross' dad) made converts to a toddler bed. He has been in the BBB ( big boy bed) for almost 2 months. He will wake up in the night and come into our bedroom and climb in bed with us, but over all the whole new bed thing has gone real well.

Easter Fun

We went to a church down the street from our house. Kyle saw the Easter bunny for the first time this year! He did ok, I just 6 foot tall bunny is a lot different than a Santa. They also had a easter egg hunt. He has been to one other egg hunt, but really doesn't care for the eggs with candy. So he "found" about 7 eggs, with my help. Kyle and I got to ride a train. He really enjoyed that. He also got to ride a pony, which he LOVES. He had a great time.

Kyle's cousin Harrison

While we were in Florida, I talked to my sister Sara about Kyle, our mom, and I coming to see Harrison, since it was only about an hour and a half hours away. So Kyle and I set out to run by my parents house and pick my mom up and we headed to Jacksonville. The drive there was nice. It had been a long time since my mom and I just talked. We got to Jacksonville and made it to Sara and Jason's apartment with no problems.

Harrison is an adorable little baby boy. Very alert about who and what is around him. I think he looks a little like Kyle when Kyle was his age. We were there for about 4 hours. I got a few pictures of everyone. I really wanted to get some pictures of the new family, so here are a few of what I took. Kyle had a great time hanging out with his Aunt Sara and Uncle Jason it may have been because his Uncle Jason kept giving his cookies and watched cartoons with him. Kyle was so sweet with Harrison too. He would pat his head and once when Harrison's pacifier fell out of his mouth Kyle put it back in his mouth for him. Kyle really enjoyed being around his cousin and aunt and uncle. It was great for me to see my sister, my little sister as a mother. She and my brother in law are doing a great job with Harrison. If you do read Kyle's blog and have children you know how crazy, out of control, and scared you feel with your first.

We Kyle, Ross and I can't wait to see them again in May on their way to Oklahoma, and my granny will be here too!

First walk of the year

We went on a walk a few days ago. It was great weather and it wasn't dark at 4 p.m. As we started our walk, Kyle didn't walk, he ran, the WHOLE way. It wasn't miles, but it was half a mile and he ran the whole time. As we were walking, he got tripped up on his shoes and fell. When he fell he scrapped knee. I thought we were going to have to turn around and head home, but after a few minutes of him crying, mommy holding him and daddy rubbing his back he was ready to get down and finish our walk. Along the way we would see cars go by that were heading home and he would wave and on the way back to the house we saw 2 girls, about middle school age, Kyle had to stop and wait for them to get a little closer so he to wave and flirt.

At the Park

At our new house, which we moved into a little over a year ago we are not far from a park. The Lakeland park is about 10 minutes from our house. Last Saturday after what seemed like months of cold, raining, icy snowy days it was FINALLY nice enough outside to enjoy the fresh air. Ross and I knew we needed to do something to let Kyle run off some of the energy from being in the house for such a long time. I had been to the park before, but wanted to show Ross. So we packed some snacks, drinks and headed out. Kyle had a great time! So did Ross and I we walked around the lake and on the trails that are out in the woods. Ross would walk a few yards away on top of a little hill and Kyle would find him. With me behind them pushing the stroller that was holding all of our bags, through the woods, over roots, up hills and pushing it in leaves. But I loved every minute of it watching my boys play, get dirty and enjoying being outside and with each other. I really don't know who had more fun Ross or Kyle.

Kyle found some rocks on the gravel road near the lake, like any boy he had to pick some up and then walk to the grass and throw them "in". He was too far from the lake at first, but he had a good time. As he got more comfortable throwing the rocks he slowing moved closer to the water's edge so he was finally able to hit the water. He walked up the gravel road and pick up a rock or two and then walk to the water and throw the rock or rocks in, then repeat this for 10 minutes. He got so comfortable that he would run to the water's edge, then one time he got too close and he stepped on some mud and fell into the water. He landed on the bottom in the water, but didn't cry. He got help from daddy and ran up to the gravel road and grabbed more rocks and headed to the water with his butt soaking wet. We had to pick him up and carry him to get him to stop throwing rocks in the lake.

Kyle's First Hair Cut

After 2 years and 2 months I finally broke down and let Kyle get his hair cut. People would ask me " Oh she is so cute what is her name?" and they would be talking about Kyle. On February 13, 2010 Ross and I took Kyle in to the salon, he sat down on the chair and he got his hair cut. His hair didn't go down as it grew it went to the side. He did a great job, no crying, fussing, tantrums, or meltdowns. He sat in the chair like a big boy and got his hair cut. We were so proud of him! He even wanted to help the stylist, she gave him a comb to play with. I on the other hand did not do so well. I didn't cry a lot, but I did cry.

Brayden and Kyle

Brayden and Kyle are best friends. They are the same age, so they are into the same things. They have been friends for about a year and a half. Brayden's parents are great friends of Ross and I too, so it's extra special when we all get together and hang out. Unfortunately Brayden and his parents are moving, so Kyle and I had Brayden and his mom Katie over one last time for them to play. They have been great friends to all of us. We are sad to see them go, but wish them all the best in their new town, new home and with Brayden's new baby sister or brother, that is due in April. We hope to see them soon and we will stay in touch.

Walking Trader

One of Ross' neck ties on the couch in the living room, so I put on Trader. Kyle thought that was the best thing. He picked up the end of the tie and started to pull her toward him. She being a great dog, walked toward him and he started waking. He was so happy that he could walk her on the "leash". I don't think it was he was walking her as much as she was walking him.
